The secret passage in my garden

This is a short story I wrote several years ago, hope you like it...

It's strange I hadn't seen it before because it was there since I was a little child. Sometimes you find things in places where you would never search, that's why I didn't see that passage before, it was disguised. It was dressed like a tree. Yes, I know it looks strange, but it's true, that tree was a secret passage. It was a secret passage in time.

As I told you, I hadn't seen that passage for almost all my life, but now I see it clearly. Each time I see it, it's a travel in time, into my memory, that's how this secret passage works. I remember the first time I did that. It was after my father's funeral. I went to his house. The house where I lived when I was a child, and during those hard teen-years. I wanted to see it exactly as my father left it. I walked in all the rooms, the kitchen, and, when I saw the garden, something called me there. Once outside I saw that tree and just like that, without doing anything, I made my first time travel. I saw my father again, I saw him when we were planting that tree. And I saw him when he got inside and toll me "I have to go now. You have to take care of that tree by your own now. I trust you".

I have made many time travels since then, and every time when I have a problem I know I can travel to the past and find the answer in my father; in that old man that always was telling me something important, even if I wasn't there to hear him until it was too late

Life's like a looooooong road

Life lies in front of me as a long road to be traveled and the road goes and goes far beyond the horizon without reaching somewhere. On either side the desert extends as far as I can see, without giving me any hope by leaving my road. Still I can see a few roads crossing mine, roads where I can find people who will walk together with me for a while.

Still I keep asking the questions we all ask. Where is my road leading me?... will I find another road that will walk with me all the way?... is there a special someone for me?

Hope gets blurry as I walk under the sun without these answers.

I'm so confused some times, other times I just don't know what the hell is going on
